This Cookie Policy explains how Paluma Labs uses cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) on palumachat.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. “Local storage” is a similar technology your browser uses to remember information between visits. Together they help sites work and help us understand how they’re used.
How we use them
- Analytics (optional, requires your consent): we use Google Analytics (GA4) and PostHog to understand how the Site is used, such as which pages are viewed and general interactions. These set analytics cookies and/or use local storage. Neither loads until you accept analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit; declining or dismissing the banner means neither ever runs.
- Functional (always on): we store your accept/decline analytics choice itself in local storage so we don’t ask again on every visit. This is not an analytics or advertising cookie.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.
Managing cookies
When you accept analytics, we also keep first and recent campaign attribution in your browser for up to 30 days. A new waitlist submission can include those campaign labels and the referring website. On testing invitation pages, consented visits and button interactions may be associated with the invitation. They do not prove that an app was installed. Raw invitation interactions are kept for up to 90 days and waitlist campaign attribution for up to 180 days.
You can change your choice using the optional analytics control in the footer. Turning analytics off stops future optional capture and clears browser attribution. It does not automatically erase data already received; contact us for deletion requests.
You can accept or decline analytics cookies from the banner shown on your first visit. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear local storage the same way; doing so resets your saved choice, so the banner will show again. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function. If we haven’t configured analytics for a given deployment, no analytics cookies are set regardless of your choice.
Third parties
Our analytics providers (Google Analytics and PostHog) may process limited technical data on our behalf, only after you accept analytics cookies, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above.
