What's new in Paluma 1.0
This update is about control. Don't like a reply? Swipe for another, steer it, or rewind. Plus badges to collect along the way, and a calmer, more reliable chat.

New
Swipe for a new reply
Swipe the latest reply left to get another version of it, and swipe right to go back to an earlier one. Your favourite stays: whichever version you leave on screen is the one the story continues from.
Edit your messages
Long-press your last message or the character's last reply to edit it. Typo fixed, story intact: editing never regenerates the reply.
Delete and rewind
Delete any message, or choose Rewind to here to take the chat back to an earlier point and go a different way. Both give you a few seconds to undo.
Achievement badges
Earn badges as your stories grow, each with its own little reveal. We'll let you know when you unlock one, and your whole collection lives on your Profile.
PLUS
Reply styles
Tap the arrows under a reply and choose how the next version is written: shorter, more playful, more dramatic, more in character, or moving the story on. Plain swipes stay free for everyone.
More swipes every day
Plus members get more fresh versions to play with each day.
How they see you
See how a character sees you, and watch it change as your story goes on.
A clearer Plus page
A simple side-by-side of what's free and what comes with Plus.
Improvements
- Smoother replies. Messages write in without flicker, and the chat stays with the newest line.
- Quick intros the first time you open Glimpse or Memory.
- Friendlier empty screens in Chats and Studio, with a clear next step.
- A help guide right inside Advanced character creation.
- Long character names now wrap onto a second line instead of being cut off.
- Notifications open the right shelf of your Inbox, and quiet hours are off by default.
- My Appeals now shows your moderation history.
- Updates in the app. When a new version is ready, you can update without leaving Paluma.
Fixes
- A message that can't reach Paluma now shows Failed with tap to retry, instead of waiting with the typing dots.
- Retrying a message never sends it twice.
- Reply and unread status in Chats is more reliable.
